Remembering Stefan Vracarevic

BC Rugby is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Kelowna Crows RFC athlete and valued member of the rugby community, Stefan Vracarevic. Our thoughts and hearts are with Stefan’s family, friends, teammates and the entire Kelowna Crows community during this incredibly difficult time. In moments of hardship, we are reminded of the strength of the rugby community here in BC and the bonds that connect us through our sport.     The all-important BC Rugby Age-Grade Finals are the climax of the Age-Grade Club Rugby seasons in British Columbia. After a gruelling and competitive regular season, the Mainland and Island Champions from our respective U16 and U18 Boys and Girls Divisions meet to decide who will be crowned Provincial Champions!

A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.
