Declarations for the 2024-2025 BC Rugby Fall/Spring Senior Club Season are due by Monday June 17, 2024.
The form for submitting the 2024-2025 Senior Club Declarations & Schedule Requests can be found below.
Clubs will be able to declare for the following divisions. Although we try to mitigate travel, teams should anticipate travel across the Georgia Strait and to Interior BC during regular season for ALL Leagues and Divisions. The purpose of each league can be found below:
- Men’s Premier – Elite Men’s league competing under Premier League rules. Targeting regional play in early Fall with Regular Season to start in October.
- Men’s Premier Reserve/Men’s Division 1– Competitive league aimed at growing and developing established 15s teams. Targeting regional play in early Fall with Regular Season to start in October.
- Men’s Division 2 – Programs that consistently field more than 15 players, aimed at supporting Clubs to develop their more established programs. Targeting regional play in early Fall with Regular Season to start in October.
- Men’s Division 3– To support developing teams with new or growing programs with a lens on participation and developing programs throughout the province. Targeting regional play in early Fall with Regular Season to start in October.
- Women’s Premier League – Elite Women’s league fielding 15 players consistently and competing under Premier League rules. Regional games from September with Regular Season targeted to start mid Fall and run til early May
- Women’s Division 1 – Competitive league aimed at growing and developing established teams. Regional games from September with Regular Season targeted to start mid Fall and run til early May
- Women’s Division 2 – To support developing teams with new or growing programs, primarily focused on smaller format games with a lens on participation and developing programs throughout the province. Targeting regional play in the Fall and run til early May.
Clubs declaring for any Division will be given the opportunity to adjust team declarations following the deadline. We will meet with each Division and Teams and discuss best league structure to sustain each division of play and support each region as appropriate based on the updated Rules of Competition for 2024-2025 pending Board approval. To support those discussions, we require an understanding of each Club’s intentions.
