Rugby Canada will be confirming National Age-Grade competitions for Summer 2024 shortly, to take place in early August. “We are looking for pathway Coaches that can help develop these players and their skillsets further towards future National Teams selection. These Coaches must first and foremost have an excellent technical understanding and track record of improving players. They need to be able to facilitate a fun, challenging, safe and inclusive team environment.” BC Rugby Technical Director John Tait
A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Age-Grade Provincial Representative Rugby has made a successful return to the BC Rugby calendar over the past two years, with BC Bears teams enjoying clean sweeps at the 2022 Western Canadian Championships and 2022 Canadian Rugby U19 National Championships.
Returning home with three Western Championship titles and a second-place finish in 2023, the U16 and U18 Boys and Girls teams enjoyed a thrilling experience at this year’s Western Canadian Championships in Calgary.
BC hosted the 2023 Canadian Rugby U19 National Championships in Vancouver, which saw a welcome return to national competition for the BC Bears U19 Girls team. While a title eluded both BC Bears U19 Boys and Girls teams, the tournament provided valuable experience and competition for our athletes and Coaches.
