The 2024 Saratoga Cup and Women’s Saratoga Cup takes place in Terrace this August 17-18 weekend, where EIGHT teams will battle it out across two competitions to be declared Provincial Champions of BC Rugby’s Summer Leagues – get down to Coast Mountain College in Terrace, BC for a fantastic weekend of Rugby!
The 2024 edition of the Saratoga Cup once again features both Men’s and Women’s competitions for the third successive year, as well as a FREE Try Rugby Session for boys and girls aged 8-14 on Saturday morning – thanks to Canadian Tire Jumpstart for their continued support!
BC Rugby acknowledges that the 2024 Saratoga Cup will take place on unceded, traditional territory of the Ts’msyen (Tsimshian) people.
In the Men’s Draw, defending champions Rocky Mountain Rogues will be aiming for a fourth successive Saratoga Cup title following impressive victories in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Can hosts Terrace Northmen RFC, who last lifted the Cup in 2019, put an end to the Rogues dynasty? Will Saratoga Cup debutants Penticton Harlequins and Prince Rupert Seamen upset the odds in Terrace?
In the Women’s Draw, we are guaranteed a NEW Saratoga Cup Champion with hosts Terrace RFC, 2023 Runners-Up Rocky Mountain Rogues, and newcomers Prince Ruper Sirens and Penticton Harlequins battling it out for the Championship.

MEN’S SARATOGA CUP
The teams competing the Men’s Saratoga Cup are:
- Rocky Mountain Rogues (Defending champions)
- Terrace Northmen RFC (Hosts)
- Penticton Harlequins (Debutants)
- Prince Rupert Seamen RFC (Debutants)
Semi-Final 1: Prince Rupert vs. Rocky Mountain Rogues
Defending champions Rocky Mountain Rogues will be aiming for the FOUR-peat after scoring three successive Championships. The Rogues took the Kootenay Cup spot in 2024 thanks to an unbeaten season against Elk Valley, resulting in one win and one draw from their two matches.
The Rogues face tough opposition in Prince Rupert Seamen, one of the teams to beat in the Central Interior League this season. The Seamen racked up four wins from six regular season matches and inflicted Terrace Northmen’s only defeat of the season!
Semi-Final 2: Terrace Northmen RFC vs. Penticton Harlequins
Terrace Northmen RFC will be aiming to lift the Saratoga Cup for the first time since 2019 after topping the Central Interior League this year. The Northmen finished the season with five wins from six matches, losing only to Prince Rupert in a tight encounter.
The world-famous Penticton Harlequins, meanwhile, advanced to the 2024 Saratoga Cup with the best regular season record of five wins from their five matches, including a cracking 31-24 Okanagan League Final win over Vernon Jackals.
Four big teams in great form – who will win the 2024 Saratoga Cup in Terrace?
WOMEN’S SARATOGA CUP
The teams competing the Women’s Saratoga Cup are:
- Rocky Mountain Rogues (2023 Runners-Up)
- Terrace RFC (Hosts)
- Penticton Harlequins (Debutants)
- Prince Rupert Seamen RFC (Debutants)
In an open Women’s competition, Rocky Mountain Rogues will be full of confidence after finishing Runners-Up last year. Terrace RFC will be hoping to capture the Cup on home soil, with both them and Prince Rupert Sirens contesting several great battles already this season. Sirens finished up with four wins from six matches this season. Penticton Harlequins also travel to Terrace in high spirits after facing tough competition against YETI Rugby and Kamloops this season.
The four Teams will contest a Round Robin Rugby 7s Pool on Saturday before being seeded for Sunday’s Semi-Finals:

The non-contact session will take place at 9-10am at Coast Mountain College ahead of the opening day of the 2024 Saratoga Cup – why not stay and watch some awesome Men’s and Women’s Rugby afterwards!
