The 2025 BC Rugby Age-Grade Club Finals line-up has been confirmed after Regional Champions were crowned across 12 Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island Divisions this past weekend.

Following a busy season of junior Club Rugby, Regional Champions were decided in the U14 Boys and Girls Divisions, as well as our U16 and U18 Boys and Girls Mainland and Island Divisions.

The U16 and U18 Regional Champions now advance to the 2025 BC Rugby Age-Grade Club Finals, where they will battle it out for provincial honours this Sunday, December 7 at Langley Event Centre’s Willoughby Stadium.

With Regional Finals now decided, we are excited to confirm the 2025 BC Rugby Age-Grade Finalists.

UBCOB Ravens and Castaway Wanderers will battle it out for the U18 Boys Championship in a repeat of last year’s final. The Ravens will be looking to regain the title they won in 2023 after defeating Bayside Sharks RFC 26-25 in a thrilling Mainland Final. Castaway Wanderers, the defending champions, aim to retain the Championship after edging past Salish Sea Warriors in the Island Final.

James Bay AA and Abbotsford RFC will contest both the U16 and U18 Girls Finals in what should be two thrilling encounters. James Bay U18 Girls edged past Cowichan 10-7 to reach this year’s provincial finals, while their U16 Girls defeated last year’s champions CV Rapids Rugby 57-5 to advance. Abbotsford RFC enjoyed double Regional Final wins over Langley RFC, with the U18 Girls advancing 31-12 and the U16 Girls winning 51-24. Abbotsford will be hoping to go one better this year after losing both Provincial Finals to CV Rapids Rugby last year.

In the U16 Boys Final, Capilano RFC will face Castaway Wanderers with a new name on the trophy guaranteed for 2025. Capilano RFC defeated last year’s champions, Abbotsford RFC, 17-15 in a thrilling Mainland Regional Final while Castaway Wanderers clinched a 20-19 win over Cowichan RFC in the Island Regional Final. Castaway has made the U16 Boys Provincial Final for the previous two years, losing both Championship matches.
