Canadian Rugby Foundation Initiative
These sessions are open to all Coaches and are part of an initiative by the Canadian Rugby Foundation to help with the development of coaches who are currently at the University level and those who work with players who aspire to play at the University, Provincial and National team level.
Recently, 16 Canadian University Coaches took a two-week online Coaching course with the Crusaders, and Aaron Webb and Shane Fletcher were two of the presenters.
Aaron works with the 16–21-year-old Crusader academy players and specializes in talent identification and how to grow young players within their organization.
Shane is the current manager of the Crusaders and shared a lot of what makes the players successful on and off the field. His insights into how analysis is used in their organization was excellent.
Both presenters were outstanding, and Coaches are encouraged to come to the sessions they are leading and stay for the Q&A sessions following the actual training.
