BC Rugby is delighted to announce the finalised 2024/25 Senior Club Schedules for seven Divisions, including the Men’s Premier League and Women’s Premier League.
Schedules have been sent to Clubs and all fixtures be uploaded into Sportlomo ahead of the new season. All information for the new season will also be available on a 2024/25 Senior Club Leagues Page published here on the BC Rugby website.
The 2024/25 Senior Club Season promises to be an exciting journey filled with competition, camaraderie and unforgettable moments on the field, with all roads leading to the 2025 BC Rugby Senior Club Finals on May 3, 2025.
Action will take place across seven Senior Divisions, featuring four Men’s Leagues and three Women’s leagues. Ten Clubs will contest the Men’s Premier League, while there is no Men’s Premier Reserve League for 2024/25; instead 18 teams will contest a stronger Division 1 split across Vancouver Island and Mainland regions leading into crossover Play-Offs. Twelve Clubs make up the Men’s Division 2, with nine teams taking part in Men’s Division 3.
The Women’s Premier League will be contested by six teams across 11 rounds, with defending champions Vancouver Thunderbirds’ first team entering in the Spring due to their Canada West commitments in the Fall. The Thunderbirds’ first team will also be exempt from making Play-Offs as they are only able to contest six fixtures. Eight teams have entered Women’s Division 1, with 15 teams aiming to develop in Women’s Division 2.
Men’s Division 1, 2 and 3 will kick off on September 21 with the Men’s Premier League, Women’s Premier League, Women’s Division 1 and Women’s Division 2 starting a week later September 28.
The Coastal Cup returns in 2024 and will be contested by the Pacific Pride, UBC Thunderbirds, UVIC Vikes and TWU Spartans, while the U20 Dunbar Keg Regional Competition will see the Vancouver Island Tide, TORA (Thompson-Okanagan Rugby Alliance), Vancouver Wave and Fraser Valley compete for honours. Both Coastal Cup and Dunbar Keg competitions will kick off on September 7.

Mark your calendars for the 2024/25 BC Rugby Senior Club Season!
All Divisions will get at least two Make-Up weekends throughout the season should Clubs require them, while no matches are slated for Thanksgiving weekend (October 12), HSBC SVNS Vancouver weekend (February 22) or Easter weekend (April 22). The winter break will take place between December 14 and January 25. Limited matches will take place on both Remembrance Day weekend (November 9) and Family Day weekend (February 15).
The BC Rugby Senior Club Play-Offs return in Spring, with Quarter-Final weekend slated for April 12. Semi-Finals will then take place on April 26, before the 2024/25 Senior Club Season concludes at the 2025 BC Rugby Senior Club Finals on May 3, 2025.

Men‘s Premier League & Women’s Premier League
The Men’s Premier League will see 10 teams battle it out for the Rounsefell Cup. Starting September 28, teams will play 13 rounds to determine who reaches the BC Rugby Senior Club Playoffs.
The following Clubs will contest the 2024/25 BC Rugby Men’s Premier League:
- Burnaby Lake RFC (Burnaby)
- Capilano RFC (West Vancouver)
- Castaway Wanderers RFC (Oak Bay)
- James Bay AA (Victoria)
- Meraloma Rugby Club (Vancouver)
- Pacific Pride (Langford) – exempt from Playoffs
- University of British Columbia (Vancouver)
- UBCOB Ravens (Vancouver – defending champions)
- University of Victoria (Victoria)
- Westshore RFC (Langford)
WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
The 2024/25 Women’s Premier League season will be contested by six teams across 11 rounds throughout Fall and Spring. Vancouver Thunderbirds’ first team will enter in the Spring due to Canada West commitments in the Fall, and will be exempt from Playoffs due to contesting only six matches.

BC Rugby adheres to World Rugby’s policy of “Recognize and Remove” when dealing with concussions or suspected concussions. Anyone on or around the Rugby pitch has a responsibility to be aware of the symptoms of concussion and are encouraged to complete World Rugby’s online Concussion Management module. We strongly encourage parents, guardians, partners or housemates of Rugby players to complete the online module to be informed.
CLUB MARKETING TOOLKIT
Rugby Canada has produced a Club Marketing Tool resource to assist Clubs with their marketing and communication needs. The tool is available in English and French.
