Rugby is BACK.
BC Rugby is delighted to announce the finalised 2025/26 Senior Club Schedules for seven Divisions, including the Men’s Premier League and Women’s Premier League, with all roads leading to the 2026 BC Rugby Senior Club Finals on May 9, 2026.
Schedules have been sent to Clubs and fixtures will be uploaded into Sportlomo ahead of the new season. All information for the new season will also be available on the 2025/26 Senior Club Leagues Page published here on the BC Rugby website.
The 2025/26 Senior Club Season promises to be an exciting, action-packed nine months of Rugby across BC’s Lower Mainland. The upcoming season marks the welcome return of Senior Women’s Regional Rugby with the Ruth Hellerud-Brown Cup being reintroduced for 2025/26.
Ten Clubs will contest the Men’s Premier League with defending back-to-back champions UBCOB Ravens aiming for a third successive Championship. The Women’s Premier League features eight teams including newcomers Abbotsford RFC, UBCOB Ravens and last season’s Division 1 champions, Meraloma RFC – can anyone top defending champions Vancouver Thunderbirds?
The Men’s Division 1 will see 18 teams contest across Vancouver Island and Mainland Regions. Ten teams will contest Men’s Division 2, with 11 Teams taking part in Men’s Division 3.
Ten teams will contest a strong Women’s Division 1, while the developmental Women’s Division 2 will be split into Two Tiers. Tier 1 is made up of eight Teams that will contest a full season (including Playoffs) while Tier 2 consists mainly of second teams that will follow their respective first teams. There will be no Playoffs for Tier Two.
Senior Regional Rugby returns with both the Ruth Hellerud-Brown Cup and Dunbar Keg Competitions; the Ruth Hellerud-Brown Cup will be contested by four Senior Women’s Regional Teams across four weekends. More information on this will be released once confirmed by BC Rugby.
The Coastal Cup also returns in 2025 and will be contested by the Pacific Pride, UBC Thunderbirds, UVIC Vikes and TWU Spartans.

WHO CAN TOPPLE RAVENS AND THUNDERBIRDS?
With new Domestic Player Rules coming into effect this season, we are in for an exciting Premier League season.
The Men’s Premier League features 10 teams aiming to lift the Rounsefell Cup. UBCOB Ravens are aiming for a third successive Championship, but will have the likes of Meraloma RFC and UBC Thunderbirds out to stop them – and might we see a resurgence from island teams Westshore RFC, Castaway Wanderers RFC and James Bay AA?
The full Men’s Premier League line-up for 2025/26 is as follows:
- Burnaby Lake RFC (Burnaby)
- Capilano RFC (North Vancouver)
- Castaway Wanderers RFC (Victoria)
- James Bay AA (Victoria)
- Meraloma RFC (Vancouver)
- Pacific Pride (Langford)
- UBCOB Ravens (Vancouver – defending champions)
- UBC Thunderbirds (Vancouver)
- UVIC Vikes (Victoria)
- Westshore RFC (Langford)
The Women’s Premier League has experienced change with three new Clubs coming into the fold for the 2025/26 season. Last year’s Women’s Division 1 champions, Meraloma RFC, and runners-up, Abbotsford RFC, come up to the top division while the UBCOB Ravens are entering its very first Senior Women’s team into the top league.
With Capilano RFC dropping down, it means eight teams will battle it out over the season.
The Women’s Premier League line-up for 2025/26 is as follows:
- Abbotsford RFC (Abbotsford)
- Burnaby Lake RFC (Burnaby)
- Castaway Wanderers RFC (Victoria)
- Meraloma RFC (Vancouver)
- Seattle RFC (Seattle, USA)
- UBCOB Ravens (Vancouver)
- Vancouver Thunderbirds (Vancouver – defending champions)
- Westshore RFC (Victoria)
