BC Rugby Clubs are encouraged to apply for viaSport’s Rally Together Fund!
The vast majority of British Columbians believe that sport contributes to healthy communities and individuals. Over the last two years, it was clear that sport connects us and helps us thrive. So that more British Columbians can benefit from the positive power of sport, the Province of BC is launching the one-time Rally Together fund.
This $4 million investment seeks to re-ignite participation and volunteerism in the amateur sport sector. Two separate grants are available for sport organisations:
Participation Grant: $2 million helps organisations build their participant numbers – to recruit players, athletes and participants of all ages, and to offer more inclusive and accessible program options so that more British Columbians can play.
Volunteerism Grant: $2 million helps organisations recruit, retain and train volunteers – assistant coaches or referees, events or equipment coordinators, volunteers who manage the communication or the administration of the club, etc.
The grant is open from September 23 to November 4, 2022, to fund programs running between December 1, 2022 and January 15, 2024.
More information and details on how to apply/eligibility can be found below:
Rally Together: Sport Volunteer Grant
The $2million Sport Volunteer Grant will be open to BC-based, non-profit provincial sport organisations, disability sport organisations, multi-sport organisations and local sport organisations that have experienced a loss to their volunteer efforts due to COVID-19. It’s time to rally together through programs and activities that encourage all British Columbians to volunteer!
