Calling all female athletes born in 2005-2006 – BC Rugby is hosting an Identification & Development Session, led by Rugby Canada U20 Women’s Head Coach Dean Murten, on Sunday, January 19 – register now!

In conjunction with Rugby Canada, BC Rugby is looking to identify all eligible female athletes born in 2005-2006 for the 2025 U20 Women’s National campaign.

The session will take place at Brit Lions Rugby Club at John Oliver Park in Delta on Sunday, January 19, 2025 between 11:00am-3:00pm.

The session will cost $20 with fees helping to offset field hire.

ALL athletes MUST pre-register for the session they wish to attend by clicking the button below.

Athletes should arrive at 10:30am for check-in ahead of the 11:00am start.

A sports therapist will be on site to triage for any injuries. Any participants requiring taping should bring their own tape and arrive early if requiring assistance.

The session will have a short break for lunch; athletes should bring their own snacks/lunch and water bottles.

“This session is a great opportunity for BC athletes to work with Canada’s U20 Coach, Dean Murten, and put themselves forward for selection in 2025. Coach Murten has an excellent purview of BC’s eligible U20 athletes and this session will provide all those interested athletes in better understanding what the program is looking for towards selection. This session will also help measure and assess where potential athletes are with their technical skills and provide them some development and takeaways to work on in those areas.” BC Rugby Technical Director John Tait
