FREE FLAG RUGBY FESTIVAL FOR 5-14 YEAR OLDS
On Sunday July 24, 2022, Rugby Canada, in partnership with BC Rugby, will be hosting a FREE flag Rugby festival for youth between ages 5-14.
This is an exciting opportunity for new and existing Rugby players to participate in a fun, action-packed afternoon of non-contact Rugby. The session will include various flag Rugby games and activities as well as the opportunity to play alongside current and former national team players.

Event Details:
What: A free, fun-filled afternoon of flag Rugby games and activities for youth between ages of 5 and 14 with current and former national team players from Canada. Regardless of Rugby experience, existing players are encouraged to bring a friend.

For those that wish to stay for the festival’s duration, there will be an area for parents and guardians to relax and watch the activities.
RUGBY CANADA IN THE COMMUNITY
Canada’s Senior Women’s 15s team will be conducting a series of visits to local communities around Vancouver Island as part of Rugby Canada’s Community Visit Program.
One of those visits includes Canadian players attending a kid’s summer camp in Sooke, BC. They will be onsite with members from the BC Grassroots Rugby Foundation and the Thunder Rugby program to help teach the kids basic Rugby skills and games.
Additionally, Members of the local Rugby Clubs in the Victoria and Langford will be invited to watch Canada’s open practice on July 20th and Captain’s Run on July 23rd as the women prepare for their match against Italy on July 24th. Both sessions will take place at Starlight Stadium in Langford, BC.
