The final of the Dunbar Keg takes place this weekend in Victoria as the Vancouver Island Rugby Union Tide and Vancouver Rugby Union Wave battle it out for the championship title.
Taking place on Saturday, September 30, the Tide hosts the Wave as the competition’s two undefeated teams meet for the first time in this year’s event.
With a brand-new Dunbar Keg trophy up for grabs, both the Tide and Wave go into Saturday’s encounter with unblemished records this season.
The match will take place at the University of Victoria’s Wallace Field with kick-off slated for 12:45pm.
Following the Dunbar Keg Final will be the Coastal Cup clash between the University of Victoria Vikes and TWU Spartans. Both teams will be wearing Indigenous-designed jerseys that will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Thunder Indigenous Rugby Program.
