The Island Blues took a 1-0 Series Lead following an impressive victory in Game 1 of the 2025 BC Rugby Senior Women’s Blue vs Gold Series – check out our photo gallery and match videos below!
The Blues ran out 62-7 winners against the Mainland Golds at Brit Lions Rugby Club in Delta on Saturday, scoring 50 unanswered points in the second half to seal a big win.
The Golds scored the first try of the match before the Blues responded with two tries of their own, with the visitors holding a 12-7 lead after a tight first half. However, the Blues took control in the second half to post an impressive win.
The Blues can seal Series victory in Game 2 this coming Saturday, May 31, taking place at UVIC’s Wallace Field (kick off 1pm PST).
