The Island Blues moved into an unassailable 2-0 Series Lead with a 41-24 victory over the Mainland Golds in Game 2 of the 2025 BC Rugby Senior Women’s Blue vs. Gold Series in Victoria.
Taking place at UVIC’s Wallace Field, the Blues put in a stellar second half showing to move clear and wrap up the best-of-three series with one game remaining.
Much like Game 1, the first half was a tight affair with the Blues leading 12-7 at the break.
However, the home side rallied in the second half to pull clear 41-7 before the Golds showed impressive resurgence in the final 10 minutes to reduce the deficit to 41-24 at the full-time whistle.
Attention now turns to the final game of the series, taking place at John Oliver Park in Delta on Saturday, June 7, 2025 – kick off at 1:00pm PST.
