BC Rugby is on an exciting journey. As we forge ahead with our mission to cultivate the safest, most vibrant, and inclusive Rugby community, we are seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors and Board Committees.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Alignment with Our Values: A strong commitment to the values and strategic plan of BC Rugby and dedicated to making contributions and decisions that advance the interests of the entire BC Rugby Community and its Members.
Active Participation: Availability to attend 6-8 Board meetings per year (including 3 in-person) and our AGM, along with participation in 1-2 board committees.
Collaboration: Work with BC Rugby Staff to achieve the goals set out in our Strategic Plan
Expertise: Skills in Governance, HR, Canadian Law, sponsorship or related fields. Prior board or committee experience is a plus. Previous experience/knowledge of BC Rugby Regional Unions or Clubs, Leagues and Representative Competitions is an asset.
Engagement: Directors should come to meetings well-prepared and ready to engage in meaningful discussions that will help shape the future and sustainability of Rugby in BC and Canada.
COMMITMENT DETAILS
- Board member terms last for two years and committee appointments on an annual basis.
- Though the Director roles are voluntary, BC Rugby will assist in travel costs for in-person meetings and key events requiring Directors’ presence.
- Embrace the opportunity to influence BC Rugby’s strategic initiatives and support the growth of rugby in British Columbia.
