BC Rugby Members are encouraged to attend upcoming Play Safe Community Summits in November, hosted by viaSport and the BC Regional Sport Alliance.

viaSport and the BC Regional Sport Alliance are excited to have partnered to host the Play Safe Community Summits on November 1, 2 and 3. These events are an opportunity to come together with the objective of making sport safer for everyone.

Attendees will hear and be heard; sharing their understanding, challenges, ideas and needs around safe sport. This will be a safe space for athletes, coaches and technical leaders, and people who work in sport organisations to learn and share about how they get their information about safe sport. We will also identify tools and resources to adapt to the changing landscape. Mental health services will be available on site throughout the session.

Hosted by members of the BC Regional Alliance, events will take place across the province on three evenings from 5:50pm to 8:00pm:

• Nov 1: For youth athletes (ages 12 to 23)
• Nov 2: For coaches and technical leaders
• Nov 3: For people working in local sports organisations
