BC Rugby is saddened to hear of the passing of long-time community and Langley Rugby Club member Allan Deglan.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 14 at 12:00pm at the George Preston Rec Centre (Banquet Room). An informal gathering will be held at the Langley Rugby Club afterwards.

Allan Edward Deglan – January 25, 1950 – February 7, 2026

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Al Deglan. He is survived by his daughter Amber and son Tyler (Dana), his grandchildren Arianna, Brody and Amelia, and his brother Grant. He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Jean, brother Jamie and sister Shelley.

Al was a force of nature, who always had a story to tell and help to give. He spent his life giving back to those he cared for and the community he lived in. He was a founding member of the Langley Rugby Club, longtime member of the Referee Association, current VP of the Falkland and District Community Association and helped at many events and fundraisers throughout his life.

Al was loud, unapologetic and one of the nicest and most caring men you would ever meet. He lived life to the fullest and lived for his children and grandchildren. We will be deeply missed.
