With the new World Rugby Tackle Height Laws coming into effect this season, BC Rugby is encouraging Coaches to refresh their knowledge and prepare their athletes with a free World Rugby Tackle Training Coach Education Course.

Delivered by World Rugby Coach Educators, this FREE three-hour course introduces the latest World Rugby and Rugby Canada tackle coaching resources, designed by international coaching experts to help coaches teach safe and effective tackling within the new laws.

The session breaks down each component of the tackle, providing practical coaching techniques while giving participants the opportunity to provide feedback that will help shape the global rollout of the program.

There are three Course dates in BC – Coaches are encouraged to select one:

COURSE DATES

• Wednesday, August 5 – 6:00–9:00pm – Abbotsford RFC (32470 Haida Dr, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5A6)
• Friday, August 7 – 6:00–9:00pm – UBCOB Ravens RFC (1448 Discovery St, Vancouver, BC V6R 4L9)
• Saturday, August 8 – 1:00–4:00pm – University of Victoria (Field location TBD)
