Team registration for the 2022 Kamloops 7s closes on September 30 – register now!
The Kamloops 7s makes its long-awaited return to the BC Rugby calendar this Fall, taking place over Thanksgiving Weekend (October 8-9, 2022) at McArthur Island Park in Kamloops, BC. The event has not taken place since 2019, due to the global pandemic.
BC Rugby is also seeking volunteers to help support the delivery of the event – see below for more information on how to volunteer.
BC Rugby acknowledges that this land is in unceded Secwépemc territory, situated in the southern interior of British Columbia within the traditional lands of the Secwépemc Nation.
HOW TO REGISTER A TEAM
To enter a team in the 2022 Kamloops 7s, please click on the below button to fill out the required form and make payment.

Registrations must be submitted by 11:59pm PT on Friday, September 30. There will be a limited number of entries per division, as well as limited capacity for the event.
The following Age-Grade divisions will be open for teams to enter:
Girls & Boys
- U18 – Birth Years 2005-2006
- U16 – Birth Years 2007-2008
- U14 – Birth Years 2009-2010

We need your help!
BC Rugby is seeking volunteers to help support the 2022 Kamloops 7s event on October 8-9, 2022. Without volunteers, this event would not be possible!
There are a number of roles that will be on offer for the weekend, including:
- Field Control – Make sure games are on time, identifying medical help if required, directing teams and personnel, ensuring spectators stay off field and officials have room to complete their roles
- Field Setup/Teardown – Helping to setup and teardown the field with flags, tents, post pads, and uprights
- Score Runners – Collecting results from the referee at the end of each game and bringing/texting the results to the tournament control
- Site Assistant – Collecting trash, checking and cleaning facilities as needed
- Team Directional – Directing teams as required, providing information, pointing in the right direction

ABOUT THE KAMLOOPS 7s
Kamloops 7s is the biggest amateur Sevens tournament in Western Canada. It has seen extraordinary popularity amongst Age-Grade teams across the Province.
Specifically designed for Girls’ and Boys’ teams in the U14-U18 categories, the tournament delivers fun, action-packed games in a picturesque setting.
The purpose of the Kamloops 7s is to foster the growth of Age-Grade Rugby throughout British Columbia while also serving as a lead into the Age-Grade Club Season. Kamloops 7s aims to provide stage appropriate competition to motivate, challenge and inspire young players, as well as Coaches and Officials.
