The 2026 Canada Cup Series kicks off this weekend as Rugby Ontario brings its touring side to British Columbia for a highly anticipated run of matches against local opposition, culminating with a two-match Series against the BC Bears.
Thanks to funding from the Canadian Rugby Foundation and support from O’Neills Sportswear, Senior Men’s Provincial Rugby returns to BC this coming week with three mouth-watering games.
The opening fixture saw Ontario’s Blues begin their West Coast tour against the Vancouver Island Tide, celebrating its 150th Anniversary, on Sunday, May 17 at Wallace Field.
The Blues then travel to the Lower Mainland for Game 1 of their series against the BC Bears on Wednesday, May 20 at Klahanie Park, kicking off at 6:00pm PST.
The Series then continues back on Vancouver Island for Game 2 on Saturday, May 23, when the Bears host the Blues at Shawnigan Lake School. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00pm PST, with the match preceded by the BC Senior Women’s Blue vs. Gold curtain-raiser at 12:30pm. Entry is $10, with U18s getting in free.
All matches will be livestreamed on BC Rugby’s YouTube Channel.
