The BC Bears 7s Teams compete throughout the year and play against other Provincial or Representative Teams, as well as teams from around the world.
Rugby 7s is big in British Columbia and offers a different pathway to XVs. The BC Bears 7s Teams compete at Championships and tournaments which are attended by Rugby Canada Coaches and Selectors. Click on the below teams for more information:
BC Bears Senior Men’s 7s
The BC Senior Men’s 7s team has a strong history of competing in tournaments and championships both in BC and North America, including the Vancouver Rugby Festival and Las Vegas Invitational.
Many players who have represented the BC Bears have gone on to play for Canada’s National Sevens Teams in both the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and the Olympic Games, including Jake Thiel, Phil Berna, Nathan Hirayama and Harry Jones.

BC Bears U18 Boys and Girls 7s
Information on the he BC Bears U18 Boys and Girls 7s Programs will appear here once confirmed by BC Rugby.
The BC Bears U18 Girls 7s team that competed at the 2024 Global Youth Sevens will be the core group preparing for the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
BC will also send a U20 Boys team to compete at the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
