Club History
The SFU Rugby Club is the oldest and longest running club at SFU. The club was first established in 1965 by SFU student Maurice Rees, competing in 1st division for the Women's and 2nd division for the Men's.

The purpose of the SFU Rugby Club is to provide our community with an accessible and affordable athletic program, ensuring the program is based upon opportunity and development. Every player will learn discipline, dedication, and the importance of teamwork. SFU Rugby places a great emphasis on respect and we take special pride in being a part of a friendly and welcoming group environment.
Never played before? Not a student? No problem! Our club welcomes all skill levels and ages. Established in 1965, Simon Fraser Rugby Football Club has featured competitive rugby and a vibrant social aspect. The club features both mens' and womens' teams.
