Club History

We at Finglas Celtic FC aim to provide a safe welcoming opportunity to young people and their families to engage in football activities in a friendly local amenity. We are aware of the many pitfalls young people can get trapped in, we hope to guide young people away from those dangers and guide them to a more fulfilling pastime that is football. Our club was founded by Liam Martin in 1988, Liam had a vision of what could be, working hard over the years bring that vision to life. Liam will admit he had help along the way as its was a hard fought struggle, he felt the kids of Finglas deserved the right to play football, enjoy it and most of all, to have a club that everyone could enjoy.
