We are pleased to announce the locations of the 2023 Age-Grade 7s Festivals taking place across the Lower Mainland this September, culminating at the 2023 Kamloops 7s Event on September 30-October 1.

Welcome to Age-Grade 7s Club Rugby
Come and see what Rugby 7s is about! The Age-Grade 7s Season traditionally kicks off the Fall Club season, culminating at the Kamloops 7s Event – the largest youth 7s tournament in western Canada.
This Fall season, Clubs will compete at three Age-Grade 7s Festivals within their regions ahead of the 2023 Kamloops 7s Event on September 30-October 1. Following the 2023 Kamloops 7s, the Club Age-Grade XVs season will start.
Competition is available for U14, U16 and U18 Boys and Girls.

RUGBY 7s: PATHWAY TO OPPORTUNITIES
Rugby 7s is a popular format in British Columbia and presents athletes with many opportunities to represent at the regional, provincial, and national levels.
Athletes can be called up to their respective regional unions or zones to compete at tournaments such as the recent 2023 Provincial Regional Sevens tournament in Langford, and the BC Summer Games.
BC Bears Coaches use the Age-Grade 7s Season to identify and develop talent for their respective U16 and U18 Boys and Girls Provincial Teams. These teams compete at national and international events such as the Global Youth Sevens/World School 7s and Canada Summer Games, where the BC Bears U18 Girls won gold last summer and were subsequently nominated for Sport BC’s Team of the Year Award!
Further information on the 2023/24 BC Bears Girls and Boys 7s Programs will be released soon.
The 7s pathway can lead to national representation, with many of BC’s junior 7s athletes being selected to Canada’s National Sevens Teams and representing their country at events like the recent Commonwealth Youth Games, HSBC World Sevens Series, HSBC Canada Sevens events, Rugby World Cup Sevens, and even the Summer Olympic Games.
