The 2025 BC Rugby Senior Women’s Blue vs Gold Series wrapped up last weekend as the Mainland Golds rallied to a thrilling 29-24 victory over the Island Blues at John Oliver Park in Delta.
The Blues were declared Series Champions after scoring impressive wins in Game 1 and Game 2, but the Golds restored regional pride with an excellent performance in the final showing.
Golds took first blood but, much like Games 1 and 2, the Blues responded and moved into a 24-12 lead. However, the Mainland team shifted through the gears to close the deficit, before scoring two late tries to seal victory in dramatic fashion.
FINAL RESULTS:
- Game 1 (Delta) – Mainland Golds 7-62 Island Blues
- Game 2 (UVIC) – Island Blues 41-24 Mainland Golds
- Game 3 (Delta) – Mainland Golds 29-24 Island Blues
