Congratulations to the three BC Match Officials named to the World Rugby Match Official Appointments for the three levels of WXV 2024 taking place in Canada, South Africa and Dubai over three consecutive weekends from September 27 and October 12.
Julianne Zussman has been named as an Official to the WXV 1 taking place in Vancouver and Langley, while BC Rugby Officials Development Manager Chris Assmus has been named as a Match Official taking place in Cape Town for WXV 2 in Cape Town.
Shanda Assmus has been named as an Official for WXV 3 taking place in Dubai, which will mark her Test debut as a referee.
Assmus was a finalist in the Official of the Year category for Sport BC’s Annual Athlete of the Year Awards in March, and was the first person to officiate both BC Rugby Men’s and Women’s Premier League Finals.
