Clubs Ready To Go As New Season Kicks Off In Southwest BC

Island and Lower Mainland Divisions return to BC Rugby calendar for first time since global pandemic began

Club Rugby makes its official return to southwest BC this weekend as Senior Men’s, Women’s and Junior leagues kick off across the province.

Following a busy pre-season of Exhibition matches, Clubs are raring to get started as Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland Divisions return to the BC Rugby calendar for the first time since the global pandemic.

The return of the Fall season sees 22 leagues across Senior and Junior competition get underway with plenty of exciting matches on opening weekend.

COVID-19 MANDATORY VACCINATION POLICY

BC Rugby this week announced the introduction of its COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy that will come into effect as of October 27, 2021. All Members aged 12 and over will be required to be double vaccinated to participate in any in-person Rugby activity.

The Policy applies to all players, coaches, officials, team staff and volunteers but excludes spectators.

Members are encouraged to verify their Vaccination Status online – learn how to do that here.
