NCCP Basic Mental Skills – PacificSport Interior
This course is being presented with the viaSport Regional Alliance partner PacificSport Interior, Stay connected with the Regional Alliance partner in your community for information on future programming.
This is a live, facilitator-led, interactive, group-based course offered ina virtual classroom setting through Zoom. To participate in an Online Delivery course, you must have a working microphone and speakers as well as reliable access to the internet (Dial-up or High Speed). In addition, this course is designed with group discussions, breakout rooms, and interaction. Optimal learning occurs when participants are actively engaged in the session with minimal distractions.
In Basic Mental Skills, you will learn to:
- recognize signs indicating that an athlete may need to improve his/her goal setting, focus, and anxiety control skills and develop tools to help the athlete to make improvements in these areas; and
- run simple guided activities that help athletes improve basic mental skills.
All participants must ensure that they have the most updated version of Zoom. Some features might not be availble through the older versions.

Please note coaches must attend the full duration of this workshop to receive credit for their participation.
