NCCP Psychology of Performance
This course is being presented in partnership with the viaSport Regional Alliance: Canadian Sport Institute Pacific, Engage Sport North, PacificSport Fraser Valley, Pacificport Interior, PacificSport Okanagan, PacificSport Vancouver Island, Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE), and Whistler Sport Legacies. This is a live, facilitator-led, interactive, group-based course offered online through Zoom. To participate in an Online Delivery course, you must have a working microphone and speakers as well as reliable access to the internet (Dial-up or High Speed).
In Psychology of Performance, you will learn:
- How to help athletes learn to manage distractions and use visualization techniques to prepare themselves technically and tactically for training and competition.
- How to work with ahtletes or teams to identify performance and process goals related to their ability to focus on performance.
- Debriefing skills that can be used to help athletes assess their performance in both training and competition.
All participants must ensure that Zoom will work on their computer, and that their microphone and speaker is connected and functioning properly with Zoom. To test Zoom on your computer, click here.

Please note that this course takes place over 2 evenings. Coaches must attend the full duration of this workshop to receive credit for their participation.
